If only I had given more If only I had tried With all the heart and soul of me With passions..... held inside
What would I be? How would it feel? To stand among the best But, here I sit applauding those with medals on their chest Are winners born with more desire? With more intensity?
Or, does that same potential live Inside of you and me? Does God bestow on each of us A gift, that we may find? A life-fulfilling talent To me, and all mankind? I pray that passion fills my soul
That deep, compelling drive To find that love for what I do To live.... not just survive!

I've sometimes heard it said that those Who do not shed a tear Are cold, insensitive, without heart And even, insincere
Why can't they cry? How can they be So stoic? So contained? While others 'round about them Show emotions, 'til they're drained I wonder what they feel inside? Are they heartbroken, too?
By losses of those they love as it is for me... for you I pray to understand them To find it's not as it appears Perhaps, they suffer even more Through their..... internal tears
